The story of the family apples...

We have always heard the story of our great grandparents living in Safety Harbor, Florida before returning home to Richmond, KY to farm tobacco and cattle during the great depression. It wasn’t until last year that we learned of our great grandmother’s sister and her husband who also lived in Florida and returned from Florida to Pikeville, TN during the depression to start an apple orchard. This past week we traveled to meet our third cousin Kate and to pick up apples from this very orchard. We are so blessed to this week share our families blessings from Oren Wooden Apple House. |
